- 4 large potatoes
- 1/2 of a cup of milk and maybe a little more if needed
- 4 tbsps of butter
- 1-2 tsps of garlic salt
- 1-2 tsps of pepper
- 1 tbsp of dried spring onions
- 2 tsps of garlic powder
Cooking The Meatloaf
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Toast a slice of bread, once toasted, blend it into breadcrumbs, and put them into a large bowl
Add the ground beef to the bowl with the breadcrumbs.
Add the ketchup, tomato paste, chopped onions, egg, Worcestershire Sauce, and all of the seasonings to the bowl with the beef and breadcrumbs.
Mix everything up with your hand and mush it together until everything is mixed well.
Add the meatloaf mix to a parchment-lined loaf pan.
Place in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes.
While the meatloaf is cooking, make the sauce that you will put on top of it. A few minutes before it is finished cooking, just mix all of the ingredients.
While waiting for the meatloaf to cook, start your mashed potatoes by starting a large pot of water to boil with a sprinkle of salt in it.
Peel and cut your potatoes and boil them until soft enough to mash, around 25 minutes.
While waiting for the potatoes to cook, add the mashed potato ingredients to a large mixing bowl so they will be ready for the potatoes once they are ready to mash.
After the meatloaf is finished cooking for around 45 minutes, pull it out of the oven and spread the sauce all over the top of it.
Put the meatloaf back into the oven and cook until it reaches 165 degrees internally. It should only take around 5-10 minutes, depending on how much beef you used.
Once the potatoes are soft enough to mash, add them to the large mixing bowl with the previously added ingredients and mix until soft.
While they are mixing, microwave a steamer bag of vegetables to go on the side. I usually use green peas, but this time I used broccoli.
Serve and Enjoy!
